Selection of Works for the Children's Art Contest "MEMORY OF THE FUTURE" Was Completed

News 02 September 2019

In April of 2019, our Museum announced the Contemporary Children's Art Contest "MEMORY OF THE FUTURE" devoted to the 86th anniversary of the Holodomor of 1932–1933 in Ukraine. The project was launched to honor the memory of the Holodomor victims. Its mission is to spread the knowledge about the tragic pages of our country's history, prevent the repetition of the crime of genocide, promote self-identification, protect human rights, combat discrimination and human rights violations.

On September 1, everyone who applied to participate was able to receive information about the results of the jury’s work. The first originals of the selected works have already arrived to us. In total, from over 300 works, our professional jury selected 212 works by young artists from different parts of Ukraine, as well as from the Republic of Belarus and Turkey.

We hope that each participant has discovered a new page in the history of Ukraine, and possibly his own family, and has taken another step in his or her creative path.

Regardless of whether the participants have been invited to continue the participation in the competition, we invite them to join our group, to follow the events and to support their young colleagues.

Online voting for the Audience Award will begin on September 20.

We thank all the contestants, curators, parents and relatives for their cooperation. We invite you to our museum!
