A petition to the Parliament and Government of New Zealand to recognize the 1932–1933 Holodomor in Ukraine as an act of genocide against the Ukrainian people has already gained 6209 signatures.

After receiving enough votes (for example, a similar petition has collected the required 50,000 votes on the Bundestag website), one of the deputies must submit a petition to the New Zealand Parliament and the responsible committee will prepare a report on the response.
