Holodomor Victims Memorial was visited by the correspondent of Gazeta Wyborcza

On February 16, 2018, Edyta Iwaniuk, a journalist of the authoritative Polish newspaper «Gazeta Wyborcza», visited the National Museum “Holodomor Victims Memorial”.

 

Edyta Iwaniuk is preparing a video that will be broadcast on February 28, 2018 during the presentation in Warsaw of a Polish edition of the book on the Holodomor of the American-British journalist and writer Ann Applebaum, “Red Famine: Stalin's War On Ukraine”.

 

The correspondent visited the Holodomor Victims Memorial, got acquainted with the exposition of the Hall of Memory and the territory of the Memorial, and communicated with the museum staff. Senior Collections Specialist, Nina Lapchynska, who has been studying the history of the Holodomor and the totalitarian Soviet regime crimes in Ukraine for 25 years, told about the processes of restoring the memory of the Holodomor in Ukraine, the history of recognizing the Holodomor as genocide of the Ukrainian nation, etc.

 

«Gazeta Wyborcza» is the most famous Polish edition. It’s been published since 1989.
