On September 3, 2019, in Lviv, in the Memorial Museum of Totalitarian Regimes “Territory of Terror,” a seminar-conference “The Holodomor of 1932–1933: the local aspects. Problems of research and public understanding” was held. The purpose of the event was to increase knowledge about the causes and essence of the policy of the totalitarian Stalinist regime regarding the Ukrainian statehood and the Ukrainian farmers in 1932–1933, preserve the memory of the national tragedy, establish communication and cooperation between museum representatives in the context of cultural dialogue. The event was attended by the employees of the Holodomor Research Institute (Kyiv), the Dnipropetrovsk National History Museum and the Luhansk Regional Local Lore Museum.
Holodomor Research Institute (Kyiv):
Kateryna Lukianets, Senior Research Fellow at the Political and Legal Research on the Holodomor-Genocide Department. The topic of the report: "Chernihiv Newspapers of the 1930s: Source and Lore Aspects."
Natalia Romanets, Professor, Department of History of Ukraine and Law at Kryvyi Rih State Pedagogical University, Senior Researcher at the Holodomor Research Institute. The topic of the report: "The Holodomor of 1932–1933 in the Dnipropetrovsk Region: Dynamics, Main Trends of the Study."
Ihor Yakubovskyi, Deputy Director of the Holodomor Research Institute. Topic of the report: "The Holodomor Research Institute: Present State and Prospectives."
Dnipropetrovsk National History Museum:
Yurii Fanyhin, Deputy Director for Exchange and Preservation of Museum Values of DNHM. The topic of the report: "Methods and Means of Displaying the Holodomor of 1932–33 in the Exposition of DNHM as a Factor of Social Understanding of the Problem".
Dmytro Romanchuk, Senior Research Fellow at DNHM. The topic of the report: "Cannibalism in the Times of the Holodomor on the Basis of the DNIM funds."
Luhansk Regional Local Lore Museum:
Marharyta Martynenko, Deputy Director for Scientific Work of the Luhansk Regional Local Lore Museum. The topic of the report: “The Attitude of the Regional Authorities towards the Events of 1932–1933 in the Luhansk Region (on the Basis of Archival Documents).”
