From June 3, 2019, the educational project of the National Museum “ Holodomor Victims Memorial” called "The Train of Ukrainian Identity" starts in the Kharkiv Metro. During June, in train wagons and halls of the Kharkiv subway, a series of posters about unique subjects and phenomena of culture and science, social development and everyday life, Ukrainians who have changed history, all that forms our identity and that was destroyed, eliminated or deformed after the Bolshevik occupation of Ukraine will be placed.
A press conference and the presentation of the project will be held on June 3, 2019, at 12:00 in the press center of KHARKIV Today (8 Myronosytska Str.). The speakers are Yana Hrynko, employee of the Holodomor Museum (Kyiv), Oleksandr Savchuk, publisher (Kharkiv), Tetiana Pylypchuk, employee of the Kharkiv LitMuseum (Kharkiv).
Everyone, especially those who do not use the underground services, will be able to get acquainted with the project in the exhibition format at the Kharkiv Literature Museum (6 Bahaliia Str.) from 4 to 12 June, 2019.
The project "Train of Ukrainian Identity" was created by the employees of the National Museum "Holodomor Victims Memorial " in cooperation with about 10 museum and archival institutions of Ukraine, including the Kharkiv Literature Museum and Kharkiv publisher, researcher and public figure Oleksandr Savchuk to commemorate the 85th anniversary of the Holodomor genocide. In November of 2018, the project was presented at the Kyiv subway, and from May 14, 2019, the “train” is shown in the subway of Dnipro.
